  4. I hope your journey to good health takes you and your family all the way to realizing that you have to eliminate refined flours and sugar from your diet. The cookbook, "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon Morell and Mary Enig is a great place to find why this is so. The knowledge and information in that book has lead me and my family to discover another priceless book, "The Gut and Psychology Syndrome" by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride (she is a board member of Weston A. Price which is affiliated with the Nourishing Traditions cookbook). I learned that one must eat real food that doesn't come with an ingredients list - things like bone broths, fermented foods/beverages and traditionally prepared foods. Counter to all the wrong advice that is out there, for health and strength we must eat our traditional human diet - a diet which is high in saturated fats. Simply lowering salt intake is not enough to develop a strong immune system and stop metabolic syndrome from ruining our lives. I wish you and your family the very best health.

    1. Thanks, Ann! I haven't set up an email list for posts yet. I follow several blogs via Google/Blogger Reader, and it's quite simple.

  7. I'm an older male near Chicago, IL. I'm on a 1200 mg a day sodium restricted diet. Finding low sodium recipies for almost ANYTHING is next to impossible. Since this restriction has been in place, no more of the best foods in Chicago. But now, I can make a low sodium BBQ Sauce. BBQ'd chicken, ribs, pork shoulder, and even BBQ shrimp on the grill. All in moderation. I can celebrate New Year again. Thanks for the recipes and ideas. Food doesn't have to be boring again.
